Face to Face/Direct Hit/Jukebox Romantics at Belly Up

While i already posted my coverage of Less Than Jake's headlining set at the Belly Up last week, equally important were the openers and co-headliners. Face to Face have been a socal institution for decades, easiy as deserving of punk rock superstardom as Descendents for sheer punk rock glory. Their records, honestly, are some of the best punk music ever released (most especially, of course, their self-titled effort from which they culled most of their set list), but their last record, Protection, is also one of their very best--no small feat for a band in just over their quarter-century mark.
